Algorithm Engineer-CTO innovation


ECI is a global provider of ELASTIC network solutions to CSPs, utilities as well as data center operators. ECI is joining the transition of the telecom world into SW defined products, both in Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV). Both technologies will lead the telecom world to a new era in which software will be the major player. ECI is also a major player in the OpenSource Communities in this area and contributes to these communities.

ECI is looking for an ace Algorithm Engineer to join the CTO division, which is in charge of research & development of the company’s next-generation state-of-the-art SDN/NFV/Cloud technologies.

In this position you will:

  • Analyze key technology in high performance networking and networked systems
  • Design and verify efficient network related algorithms that boost the performance, lower the cost, or enable new services, to ensure competitive advantage
  • Track and analyze related technology/device/component development road map
  • Track and predict the industry trend and conduct proactive research for technology reserve to keep the technical leadership
  • Model algorithms, simulate and profile the performance
  • Implement/prototype algorithms, lab test and debug the reference design
  • Document the design in forms of technical report, design document, or patent
  • Collaborate with headquarter team on various design projects
  • Engineering support for product lines, customers and partners



  • MSc/Phd in computer science /Mathematics
  • Strong in defining and solving both theoretical and practical problems
  • 3+ years of experience as a Network Algorithm Engineer/ substantial academic experience in the field
  • Ability and willingness to solve real-world problems, propose practical solutions, and work out fast prototypes
  • Strong software and /or hardware skills for system modeling, simulation, and prototyping
  • Solid background on network system architecture and router/switch algorithm
  • Proven track record (publication or patent) on system/algorithm design and evaluation
